HAIRSPRAY 2 COMING YOUR WAY....

New Line Cinema has enlisted the help of Hairspray creator John Waters to write a treatment for a sequel to the hit Summer 2007 movie musical.

The studio is hoping to catch fans of the 1988 cult classic and its recent remake up on what happened to “Tracy Turnblad” and her gang of eccentric pals from Baltimore in Hairspray 2, opening mid-July 2010, Variety reports.

Last year’s film film starred John Travolta, High School Musical heart-throb Zac Efron, Oscar-nominated actress Queen Latifah, Michelle Pfeiffer, Amanda Bynes, and newcomer Nikki Blonsky as the footloose “Tracy.”

Will it have Zac Efron??? Will he be wearing lip gloss??? And heels??? And pweeeety pweeeety dresses?
